How it works
- Choose a plan and pay. Secure checkout by Whop, with card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- Get your QR code. It's emailed to you within 2 hours, and shown on the thank-you page as soon as it's ready.
- Install before you fly. Scan the QR code in your phone settings on Wi-Fi. When you land, select the eSIM for mobile data and turn on data roaming.
Frequently asked questions
What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM card built into your phone. Instead of buying a plastic SIM at the airport, you scan a QR code and your phone downloads the mobile data plan. You can install it before your trip and switch it on when you land.
When will I get my eSIM?
Your QR code and installation steps arrive by email at the address you use at checkoutwithin 2 hours. The email comes from our eSIM provider, so check your spam or promotions folder if you can't see it. Lost your QR code? Contact us and we'll help you.
When does my plan start?
Your plan's days usually start counting when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, not when you buy or install it. So you can buy and install it a few days before you fly.
Can I keep my WhatsApp and home number?
Yes. Your regular SIM stays in your phone. The eSIM only handles mobile data, so WhatsApp keeps your usual number, and you can still receive texts on your home SIM (your home carrier may charge for roaming calls and texts).
Are calls and texts included?
Most plans are data only. You can still call and message over the internet with apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime or Messenger. Some plans for the UK, the United States and our Global plan also include call minutes and SMS. Where that's the case, it's shown on the plan.
How do I pay?
After you choose a plan and enter your email, you pay on our secure checkout page, powered by Whop. All prices are in US dollars. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount.
My eSIM isn't connecting. What should I do?
First check that data roaming is turned on for the eSIM line and that it's selected for mobile data. Then switch airplane mode on and off, or restart your phone. If it still doesn't work, email us with your order email address and we'll help you.
Should I choose fixed data or unlimited?
Fixed data plans (for example 3 GB or 5 GB) are the cheapest choice if you mainly use maps, messaging, email and social media. Unlimited plans suit you better if you stream video, make lots of video calls or work online. If you're not sure, start with a fixed plan: you can always buy another one during your trip.
Country plan or regional plan?
If you're visiting one country, a country plan is usually the best price. If you're crossing borders, an Asia, Europe or Global plan covers several countries with one eSIM, so you don't need to buy a new plan in each country.
